In response to the HSE Covid Booster Campaign we will run Covid 19 vaccine clinics for our patients – if you want to get a vaccine with us (whether it is your first or a booster) and you are over 16 please text your name and date of birth to 087 4352226 or email [email protected] and we will contact you.
Lakeside Family Practice are not participating in the current Covid 19 vaccination roll out – if you are due another vaccine or have yet to have one please contact your pharmacy or go to the HSE website to find out where there are walk in clinics or you can book an appointment here.
COVID-19
Covid 19 Symptoms
- Fever or high temperature (above 38 C/100.4 F) or feeling feverish or have chills
- Cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Runny nose, nasal or sinus congestion or sore throat
- Loss of or change in sense of taste or smell
- Headaches
- Aches and pains or tiredness
- Nausea or vomiting or diarrhea
Symptoms may present differently in different age groups and with different variants of the virus. Some symptoms may also be confused with the common cold, hay-fever or flu. IF YOU HAVE ANY NEW SYMPTOMS, EVEN IF MILD (AND EVEN IF YOU ARE VACCINATED) SELF-ISOLATE AND ARRANGE A COVID 19 TEST BY EITHER PHONING YOUR GP, BOOKING ONLINE OR GOING TO A TEST CENTRE.
Self Isolation
(stay in your room) – means staying indoors or in a room on your own if possible, and completely avoiding contact with other people, including others in your household. Self isolation is for people who have had a PCR test that shows they have Covid 19 and also for people who are thought to have Covid 19, but are still waiting for a test or test result.
Restricting Movement
(stay at home) – Restricting movements means staying at home and avoiding contact with other people and social situations as much as possible. Restricting movement is for people who do not have signs of Covid-19 but who may be at higher risk of getting Covid 19 because they were exposed to a particular risk.
These guidelines do not include information for those who have recently returned from a designated state. Please see www.gov.ie for further information.
